Our ideal candidate would have a clean driving record, tanker endorsement, and some experience driving hazmat materials.  We are currently only taking applications specifically and only for the Cresson location in Texas.

This is primarily, but not exclusively, a truck driving job. We intend to have you on the road as much as possible, and expect that you will spend most days exclusively driving ($0.63/mile pay), but when there are no deliveries to be made, you would assist Alberty Additives in the warehouses, using forklifts to move the steel totes that contain our products, power washing returned totes, etc.

This warehousing work is paid by the hour, at $27/hr. Any paperwork, waiting for maintenance, or other non-driving tasks will also be paid by the hour at this rate. Occasionally there are very short (under 50 miles) delivery trips to local customers, and we are willing to pay by the hour for those trips as well, which will work to your advantage.

Responsibilities:  

• Carry out deliveries with a dry van semitruck, and occasionally with a tanker
• Operate equipment safely and efficiently to deliver products to customer locations
• Ensure delivery vehicles are clean, safe, and presentable
• Maintain logs of product delivered and issues encountered while driving
• Report vehicle maintenance, repairs or replacements to management
• Perform daily pre-trip inspection and check maintenance records before leaving the site
• Observe all safety protocols and use the provided safety equipment when working in the warehouses
• On days not driving the tanker or truck, assist production in the warehouses with forklifts and other general work

Job Qualifications

- Must have a CDL Class A
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Must have a valid driver’s license and a fairly clean driving record
- Already have (or be willing to get) a tanker endorsement
- Be willing to eventually drive HAZMAT loads and attain the needed certifications (TWIC card, HAZMAT endorsement)
